A total of 496 graduates from NEUST San Isidro Campus celebrated the 115th Degree and 131st Non-Degree Commencement Exercises with the theme "Excellence and Innovation in a Globalized World: Shaping Leaders for a Shared Future," held at the Campus Gymnasium earlier today.
The College of Information and Communication Technology (CICT) produced 169 graduates, followed by the College of Management and Business Technology (CMBT) with 164 graduates and the College of Education (COEd) with 163 graduates.
Among the graduating class, eight are Magna Cum Laude, 12 are Cum Laude, and 63 received Academic Distinction Award.
Commencement Speaker Dr. Perfecto C. Felix Jr., Principal IV of Cabiao National High School, shared a message for the Class of 2026.
"Challenges do not dictate our future. But determination does. Your determination defines your future," Dr. Felix said.
His message resonated with Magna Cum Laude graduate Jana Gandha Giray of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), who said her success was built on persistence rather than talent alone.
"'Di ako dinala rito ng talino lang, kundi ng pagpupursige, consistency, at paniniwalang may magandang bunga ang bawat effort na ginagawa ko," Giray said.
University President Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba, San Isidro Campus Director Dr. Pastora S. De Guzman, members of the administrative council, faculty and staff, parents and guests attended the ceremony.
